Another Arbor

Grinding in my shop
Here I am yesterday working on a roof for another arbor!  Without gloves!  I almost never wear gloves,
keeps me too far away from my work.  This arbor is about ten feet wide with a five foot entry and side walls.  It is pouring down rain so I will wait for a nicer day for the installation!
I am wishing now I had done the Home Show! I probably could have sold a dozen of these.  There wasn't a single metal worker there!  I mentioned this to my supplier of steel and he said he understood, no one is buying anything!  That is a defeated philosophy for sure.  They would have bought this one had it been there!
I don't really want to work a booth at a Home Show. I am retired and they are a lot of work.  Next time I am thinking I will make an arbor for someone else's booth.  It will help them gain attention and I won't have to be there!
I read about the "warming of America".  The Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC are one full month early!
It is not happening in Oregon.  We had a dusting of snow this week and rain every single day! I am thinking it is a Canadian conspiracy!

That's a really neat piece of ironwork. I still wouldn't mind having a bit of your artwork in my gardens. Those Canadians really are out to get you one way or another, LOL. Here there's a saying - if you don't like the weather, just stick around for 5 minutes. Seems like that is becoming more common everywhere.

I so love your metalwork, Jer. Take a photo once it is up in place, ok? I came home yesterday to blooms on a bush and daffodils, neither of which were there the day before. But we've had 3 80+ days in a row. Weird for this time of year here in IL. But like all things, weather has always been temperamental. We've had days like this in March before and then snow again in April. I remember once or twice in my lifetime even having snow in May.

Oh Jerry, so good to see you in your element and a big smile on that face. You look happy and that makes me feel good.!
See? coulda, shoulda .. the HOme Show is probably too much work but possibly you could team with another like soul.
If there is another like soul!
hugs, BJ

I have this idea of an arbor - much more organic than yours - as I'm not a straight line person - I leave exact measurement to the husband! It will be lovely however and I can see the vines now amassed all over it. Glad you're out there workin' your hands in a different manner than just with Becky!!! :)
